Sorry I had to return this item, which seemed excellent however it was not the correct item that was required for my setup. Excellent service on purchase and return. I recently purchased this at the beginning of October Attached to my FIOS M router as an extender it works great by extending the signal from corner room where the home office is across the house.

It has a high pitched 6, dba sound so it should be mounted up high above ear level. I keep it on the second MW setting and that is sufficient to cover a SF home. So, so far so good. Cons: annoying high pitched whine -- easily fixed would have been nice to ahve a longer extension cable. Overall Review: grwat product -- really extends the range of g networks. High pitched noise is very annoying -- but i just wrapped 2 inch thick foam around it and duct taped the whole thing and voila no noise doesn't appear to get hpot enough to be an issue -- but i am checking specs as we write.
